'When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take a step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe one of two things will happen ~ there will be something solid for us to stand upon, or we will be taught to fly.' ~Anonymous

TNA Membership is open to all registered nurses in all areas of practice, who have been granted a license to practice as a registered nurse in a state, territory, possession or District of Columbia of the United States, and not have your license under suspension or revocation at any time.

When joining Texas Nurses Association, you can choose from two membership options: TNA Tri-Level Membership or TNA Direct Membership

The TNA Tri-Level Membership includes membership at the national level-- American Nurses Association (ANA), the state level--Texas Nurses Association (TNA), and a more local district level --TNA, District 3. The Tri-Level Membership gives you the opportunity to influence the nursing profession at each level. Tri-Level members receive full voting privileges, opportunities to grow and connect beyond the workplace through services on committees, task forces and coalitions. As a tri-level member you will receive member discounts on a variety of conferences/workshops, publications and resources, goods and services, as well as ANCC certification.

  • Tri-Level Full Membership Dues: $309.00/yr or $26.25/mo. *TNA does offer discounts for nurses who are retired, work part-time, full-time students, new graduates, and disabled nurses.
  • *Reduced Dues-(50% of annual dues) for RNs who are unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week, licensed RNs who are full-time students, new graduates from basic nursing education programs joining within 6 months of graduation, and RNs 62 years of age who are working and receiving Social Security. $154.50/yr or $13.37/mo
  • *Special Dues-(25% of annual dues) for RNs over 62 years-of-age and not employed, or 100% disabled. $77.25/yr or $6.49/mo

The TNA Direct Membership gives you membership at the state level only. For many registered nurses, influencing nursing in Texas, where they practice, is their main interest. Pertinent to everyday practice in Texas, TNA Direct is a great option for RNs who are interested in influencing nursing practice but have limited time or resources for full involvement. This membership option does not include local membership in TNA, District 3.

  • TNA Direct Membership Dues: $99.00/yr or $8.75/mo
