Happy New Year to each of you! I hope that the during this holiday season you were able to get some much needed rest and lots of quality time with the family not to mention all the goodies.
As we begin the New Year, and you begin to fill in your calendar, I would like to remind you of some of the upcoming events and deadlines that you need to add to your planner:
- Please join me on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth (Education Center Auditorium) for our next Membership Meeting and CE offering. Networking begins at 6:00 pm and refreshments will be provided. Our topic will be Nurses and Social Networking. This meeting will be transmitted via satellite to various hospitals around the metroplex including Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford.
- On Wednesday, April 11, 2012 we will celebrate the Great 100 Nurse Celebration at the Morton Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas.
- On Saturday, April 21, 2012 beginning at 9 AM at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth (Education Center Auditorium) for our Workshop and CE offering. Our topic will be Patient Centered Outcomes. This meeting will be transmitted via satellite to various hospitals around the metroplex including Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford.
- The Texas Nurses Association House of Delegates will be held on April 28, 2012 in Austin, Texas.
- The Texas Nurses Association District 3 Annual Dinner is scheduled for May 17, 2012 at Texas Christian University-Kelly Alumni Center, Fort Worth, Texas.
As you can see, we have all sorts of educational, stimulating, and entertaining events coming up this spring! I sincerely hope you will take advantage of these opportunities to network and spend more time with your colleagues in nursing in the metroplex. The TNA 3 District Board of Directors has been busy planning for the New Year and invites you to not only attend, but bring a colleague to the events.
